Decker Quarter Horses started in 1976 - 2 mares with colts at side! The building block of their operation was one of those initial colts: Pokey Joe Beaver - 100% foundation bred. He was bred for speed and agility as well as cow sense. Pokey Joe's legacy continues in his son, Levi Jackson. Decker horses are put through all of the fundamentals of ranch work and know how to handle themselves on winter range. Summers are spent at Cherry Creek where they are used to trail cattle in the mountains. Contact the Decker's with any questions!
